COMPANY BACKGROUND


JUNACO Group Limited traces its beginning in Junaco (T) Ltd which was founded in 2000 by Justin Lambert with his partner Nassor Nkupama, undertaking the business of exporting seafood to South Africa, Mauritius, Netherlands, Malawi and Zambia and importation of firefighting equipment whereby installation was done at the Ministry of Finance and Accountant General’s office. In the year 2002, the company changed its course of business into water solutions, the business line still in existence to date and flagship of the Group.

In per suit of expanding operations to exploit opportunities into neighboring countries, from the year 2012, the company incorporated subsidiaries; Uganda in 2012(Junaco Uganda Limited), Kenya in 2014 (Junaco Trading Kenya Limited), Congo RDC in 2015 (Junaco RDC Limited), Dubai in 2016 (Junaco General Trading LLC), South Africa in 2014(Junaco Trading Enterprise S.A). By spotting opportunities in the agriculture sector the company invested in sisal business by acquiring Marungu Plantation Limited in 2013, In 2015 Junaco (T) Ltd acquired a clearing and forwarding company (Shift cargo Limited) as a solution towards enhancing efficiency in the clearance of its own increasing volume of importations. In 2016 Junaco (T) Ltd bought a sizeable stake in Clarkson Insurance Brokers to incorporate Clarkson Insurance Brokers (T) Ltd as the only Tanzania shareholderm

In the quest to keep up with the technological advances of the 21st century in line with providing world class solutions, the company made strategic acquisitions and new products were added to the portfolio. In order to provide corporate strategic leadership, Junaco Group of Companies Ltd was incorporated in 2016 as the holding company. We credit our success to a well-qualified, dedicated team of professionals who have extensive knowledge and experience in their respective areas of operation and through the dedicated team we have grown spreading goodness wherever we go. It is for this reason Junaco Group of Companies Limited is now one of the largest distributors in sub Saharan Africa and is pursuing further integration alongside an expansion program in existing and new sectors
